Job description
As a Systems Engineer in Amazon's Robotics Delivery & Packaging Innovations (RDPI) Technology Deployment team, you will oversee the planning, installation, and launch of industrial automation technologies across North America's fulfillment network. This role requires strong technical skills in deploying robotic equipment and managing complex electro-mechanical and network systems. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including engineers and project managers, to ensure successful deployments. The position involves significant travel, with expectations of being on-site at project locations across North America.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related STEM field
- 1+ years of experience working in an engineering, construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environment
- Proven experience working on hardware integration or complex mechanical-electrical or networked industrial equipment
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, and DNS
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Oversee large scale project planning, installation, and launch of industrial automation technologies
- Support and guide installation of robotics, packaging, and sortation technologies at Amazon fulfillment centers
- Manage day-to-day project scheduling and budget management
- Collaborate with hardware engineering, technical program managers, and internal customers
- Travel to project sites across North America, upwards of 75% or more
