Job description
As a NAND ATE Test Engineer at Apple, you will play a crucial role in testing, failure analysis, and qualification of SSD programs. You will work with a team of hardware engineers to identify and mitigate risks associated with NAND qualification and testing. Your contributions will directly impact the development of future Apple products by ensuring high-quality testing solutions. This position requires a strong background in NAND validation and reliability testing, along with experience in automated test equipment.
Requirements
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Experience with memory automated test equipment (ATE), including Advantest, Teradyne, or equivalent platforms
- Experience in C/C++ and scripting languages such as Python, Lua, MATLAB, or similar tools
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with memory systems, preferably NAND
- Understanding of Electronic Engineering fundamentals
- Ability to work with test equipment such as oscilloscope and logic analyzer
- Experience with failure analysis and troubleshooting
- Experience with embedded system integration and development
- Coding experience and understanding of SW FTL
- Experience with PCIe, SSD controllers and firmware
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the testing and qualification of various SSD programs
- Generate test programs and scripts for NAND validation
- Identify and resolve potential risks in NAND qualification and testing
- Ensure world-class solutions to demanding test and engineering challenges
- Collaborate with a team of HW Engineers to enhance testing processes
