The AWS Specialist Technology Team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join their AI Tooling engineering team. This role focuses on building AI-native solutions that enhance the expertise of AWS technical specialists and improve customer engagement. The engineer will work on interconnected products that power the intelligence layer of AWS's specialist ecosystem. The position offers the opportunity to create impactful AI systems that serve thousands of users daily.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new and existing systems
• 1+ years of experience as a software development engineer or in a related role
• 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Design and implement production agentic AI systems using LLMs and knowledge graphs.
• Build and optimize GenAI-powered pipelines for summarization and intelligent routing.
• Develop prompt engineering strategies and evaluation frameworks for production LLM systems.
• Implement embedding and retrieval strategies for a knowledge base.
• Design and build scalable distributed systems and APIs for the TFC Hub platform.
• Drive operational excellence for production services, including CI/CD and incident response.
• Contribute to technical strategy and architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate customer problems into technical solutions.
