As an Operations Engineer in Apple's Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization, you will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day operations of Kubernetes infrastructure, software firewalls, and VPC management. The Infrastructure Services team is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of Apple's global network operations. You will be expected to maintain high availability and resilience of cloud network services while being part of an on-call rotation. This position requires a self-motivated individual with a strong focus on quality and detail.

• Strong experience with Linux systems administration, including configuration, automated provisioning, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code approach and tools.
• Kubernetes experience, including cluster management and application deployment.
• Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Python, Ansible, or Shell.
• Confirmed grasp of fundamentals of modern technology stacks, including containers, IP networking, HTTP, and SSL.
• Strong operational and troubleshooting skills.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience supporting environments with thousands of servers and critical uptime requirements.
• Experience with IP network design and architecture, routing, firewalls, and switching configuration.
• Experience with monitoring and metrics platforms like Splunk and Prometheus.
• Experience with third-party cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or AliCloud is a big plus.
