Job description
NVIDIA is seeking systems software engineers to enhance the CUDA driver and runtime, focusing on performance-centric features and optimizations. The role involves working at the intersection of software and hardware to improve AI tools and systems efficiency. Requirements
- A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant systems-software development experience.
- Strong production C/C++ systems-programming experience.
- Strong foundations in operating systems and concurrency.
- Strong foundations in computer architecture.
- Demonstrated success in improving real software performance.
- Sound technical judgment and clear communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, validate, and ship performance-centric features in the CUDA driver and runtime.
- Optimize critical execution paths for latency, throughput, and efficiency.
- Own complex performance problems end-to-end and implement production solutions.
- Establish performance expectations for current and future platforms.
- Translate workload evidence into CUDA API improvements and systems-software direction.
- Partner with various teams to communicate findings and raise engineering quality.
- Lead complex feature development and define performance requirements for subsystems.
