Job description
This role involves working within the Broadband Plasma division at KLA, focusing on the development of innovative wafer inspection products. The team is responsible for the complete design process of optical subsystems, ensuring high precision and quality. Candidates will engage in cross-functional collaboration to enhance product performance and support renewable energy initiatives. The position requires a strong background in optics and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges in optical engineering.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree with 3 years of related work experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience.
- Solid background in optics, including imaging system aberrations and Fourier optics.
- Experience in developing architecture for optical imaging or measurement systems with high complexity.
- Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for image processing and data analysis.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and evolve global electrical engineering standards and specifications.
- Review electrical designs for capital projects and infrastructure upgrades.
- Guide technical strategy for critical power infrastructure.
- Support renewable energy and electrification initiatives.
- Translate technical requirements into clear standards and design guidance.
- Identify and document optical system requirements through communication with suppliers and internal teams.
- Conduct feasibility studies through various optical analysis.
- Design new parts, modules, and system integration processes.
- Test, qualify, and release optics and opto-mechanical modules.
- Work with suppliers to improve incoming material quality.
