Job description
The Mixed-Methods UX Researcher at Google will join a multi-disciplinary UX team to gather insights and create industry-leading products. This role focuses on understanding user needs and driving impact throughout product development. The researcher will conduct various primary research methods to explore user behaviors and motivations. The position emphasizes collaboration with Engineering and Product Management to ensure products are useful and user-friendly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Statistics, or a related social science field.
- 4 years of experience in an applied research setting or similar.
- Experience with quantitative research methodologies such as survey design and regression modeling.
- Experience working with AI models and AI product development.
Responsibilities
- Lead mixed-methods research programs investigating user identity and privacy choice architecture.
- Design, deploy, and analyze quantitative studies to quantify user attitudes and privacy comfort thresholds.
- Bridge qualitative inquiries with statistical validation to deliver product recommendations.
- Direct research analyzing consumer search and discovery habits across various platforms.
- Translate statistical analyses and qualitative narratives into strategic guidance for stakeholders.
