The Staff Software Engineer will be a domain specialist for DoorDash's storage abstraction platform, which is critical for the company's operations. This role involves ensuring the reliability, performance, and correctness of the platform as DoorDash scales significantly. • 10+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in at least one Tier 0 storage or data-plane system.
• Experience with storage abstraction layers or data-access gateways.
• Strong Go experience in production distributed systems.
• Proven ownership of Tier 0 or mission-critical services.

• Own the reliability, performance, and correctness of the storage abstraction platform at scale.
• Set technical direction for the storage abstraction and data-access layer.
• Work on problems that define a Tier 0 system, including latency and request routing.
• Shape the client surface that connects application services to the platform.
• Mentor senior engineers and influence roadmaps beyond immediate scope.
