The Senior Staff Software Developer in Developer Infrastructure at Robinhood will lead the technical direction of the organization, unifying multiple engineering teams under a cohesive vision. This role focuses on enhancing the build and developer infrastructure, leveraging AI to improve the software development lifecycle. The position is based in Toronto, requiring in-person attendance at least three days a week. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software engineering and a passion for driving innovation in financial technology.

• 10+ years of software engineering experience at the Senior Staff, Principal, or Distinguished Engineer level.
• Deep expertise with Bazel and large-scale monorepo build systems.
• Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines at massive scale.
• Fluency in Go and/or Python, with familiarity in TypeScript, Swift, or Android development environments.
• Strong background with distributed systems, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Experience with test infrastructure and integration test environments.
• Genuine interest in or hands-on experience with agentic AI systems and automated code review.
• Exceptional technical leadership, communication, and influence skills.
• Track record of mentoring senior engineers and elevating the technical bar across large engineering organizations.

• Own the technical direction and roadmap for the Developer Infrastructure organization.
• Lead and evolve Robinhood's Bazel-based monorepo build infrastructure.
• Scale CI/CD pipelines to support thousands of daily builds with speed, safety, and reliability.
• Drive the vision for TestX, including integration test environments and personal development environments.
• Champion the integration of AI and agentic systems across the software development lifecycle.
• Set technical standards across Backend Platform and Mobile Platform.
• Partner with engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to define and execute a long-term developer infrastructure roadmap.
