Citi is seeking a Java Microservices Developer to design and build distributed backend systems for global financial services. The role involves architecting cloud-native Java microservices using Spring Boot and Kafka, ensuring the reliability and performance of critical platforms. You will collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to translate complex requirements into production-ready solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work on technically complex systems while contributing to the development of modern distributed systems.

• Hands-on Java development experience of 6 to 10 years, with deep proficiency in JDK 8 and above.
• Demonstrable track record of designing, developing, and deploying production microservices using Spring Boot.
• Ability to build and consume RESTful APIs, implementing asynchronous messaging and service-to-service integrations.
• Practical knowledge of microservices architecture patterns, including API Gateway and Circuit Breaker.
• Familiarity with containerization using Docker for packaging and deploying distributed applications.
• Competency with Git-based version control workflows and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree, university degree, or equivalent practical experience is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
