The Camera Hardware Engineering group at Apple is focused on the design, development, and innovation of camera systems across various products. This role seeks an enthusiastic engineer to collaborate with experts in optics, controls, mechanics, and imaging. The main focus is on architecting and developing custom silicon ICs that enhance computational photography. The ideal candidate will contribute to cutting-edge camera electronics that deliver exceptional imaging experiences.
Requirements
- BS degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
- MS or PhD degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Experience in analog/mixed-signal IC development, low-power, low-noise sensing, and signal processing.
- Experience with board-level design constraints, power assessment, and analysis.
- Experience with embedded systems and MCU-based custom silicon designs.
- Experience with software/hardware co-design methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop custom silicon ICs.
- Drive complex projects to completion.
- Perform root-cause analysis and problem-solving.
- Optimize designs across multiple disciplines, including hardware/firmware partitioning and design verification.
- Oversee IC development from architecture through high-volume production ramp.
- Work independently to design and deliver complex systems.
