The position requires collaboration with design engineers to address specification gaps and unexpected design behaviors. The team emphasizes the importance of debugging and reporting issues using waveform analysis and log files. Additionally, the role involves working with EDA vendors and developing coverage points to ensure thorough verification.
Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field.
- Experience in Hardware Verification Language (HVL) and Hardware Design Language (HVL) including System Verilog or Verilog.
- Knowledge of HVL methodology (UVM, OVM, and VMM) for constrained random test development.
- Understanding of digital logic design, chip architecture, and microarchitecture.
- Experience with AMBA protocol for developing monitor/checker and analyzing RTL design.
- Proficiency in System Verilog Assertion (SVA) for verification.
- Programming skills in C/C++ for embedded CPU verification and system modeling.
- Scripting experience in languages including Perl or Python.
Responsibilities
- Understand the design specification and extract attributes for verification.
- Create UVM-based tests and sequences to stress the design and verify RTL correctness.
- Engage in discussions with design engineers regarding missing specifications and corner cases.
- Debug root causes of failures and report bugs to design engineers using waveform analysis and log files.
- Collaborate with EDA vendors to utilize VIP/tool in test benches.
- Develop coverage points and write assertions to analyze verification quality.
