This role at Apple involves the design verification of Analog and Mixed Signal ASIC IPs to ensure bug-free first silicon for System on a Chip (SoC) and IP. Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience using Verilog and System Verilog to create complex verification environments.
- Knowledge of digital design and verification to test designs and debug failures.
- Proficiency in Python for creating validation scripts.
- Understanding of Computer Architecture and its application with soft IP cores.
- Experience using UVM (Universal Verification Methodology) in verification environments.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Perl for creating executable scripts.
- Experience with industry-standard simulation and debugging tools such as VCS, Verdi debugger, or Indago debugger.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop detailed test and coverage plans based on micro-architecture.
- Create a verification methodology suitable for the IP to ensure a scalable and portable environment.
- Develop and execute verification plans, including design bring-up and DV environment setup.
- Track and report DV progress using various metrics, including bugs and coverage.
- Implement different aspects of the verification flow, including constrained randomization and functional coverage.
