Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a passionate Optical Packaging Test Engineer to join the Advanced Technology Group. This role focuses on testing optical packages for NVIDIA's products, requiring a strong background in computational methods for advanced manufacturing. The engineer will work on complex problems and contribute to product differentiation through innovative solutions. Collaboration with multi-functional teams is essential to define optical package testing requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Data Science, Physics or related fields or equivalent experience with 2+ years of work experience
  • Experience with optical test equipment like lasers, OPM, BRM, and optical switches
  • Knowledge in optical connector standards
  • Basic photonic device knowledge
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for benchtop testing using advanced optical test equipment
  • Updating testing methodologies and optical equipment
  • Creating new documentation to standardize workflow and procedures
  • Data collection and visualization of optical parameters in test chips
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams within NVIDIA and define optical package testing requirements
