The Software Development Engineer will work on the MLS UltraServer Adoption and Availability team, focusing on building and maintaining software and services for UltraServer compute delivery. This role involves collaborating with technical peers across hardware, firmware, software, and operations teams to enhance the quality and performance of EC2 services. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science and experience in large-scale software application development. The position is part of Amazon Web Services, a leader in cloud computing innovation.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of programming experience using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, and parallel computing

• Build and maintain software and services for efficient provisioning and delivery of UltraServer compute to customers.
• Own key business outcomes and trade-off decisions related to software development.
