Amazon Web Services is seeking a Data Engineer to develop a robust data infrastructure for the AWS supply chain Finance organization. The role involves collaborating with a team of Data Engineers and Business Intelligence engineers to drive data-led decision making. The focus is on building scalable solutions that handle large datasets while ensuring data integrity and performance. The team aims to innovate and enhance financial performance through automation and meaningful insights.

• 5+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• 5+ years of SQL experience
• Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent
• Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
• Experience with non-relational databases or data stores
• Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices

• Design, implement, and support a platform providing secured access to large datasets
• Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards
• Tune application and query performance using profiling tools and SQL
• Analyze and solve problems at their root while understanding the broader context
• Keep up to date with advances in data technologies and design scalable data architecture
• Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes
• Triage possible courses of action in a high-ambiguity environment
• Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis
