The Software Development Engineer role within the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization focuses on innovating telecom infrastructure for Amazon Connect's voice capabilities. The team is responsible for managing connectivity to global telecom carriers and ensuring reliable delivery of voice services. • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new and existing systems
• 1+ years of experience as a software development engineer or in a related role
• 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, or distributed software applications
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

• Own code end-to-end from design to development
• Evaluate design decisions for telecom systems to ensure security, scalability, and fault tolerance
• Implement software solutions for carrier connectivity and call routing
• Improve operational excellence of the services owned by the team
• Mentor others and participate in design and document reviews
