The Data Center Night Chief Engineer (NCE) at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center. This role involves managing maintenance tasks, responding to emergencies, and overseeing small-to-medium projects. The NCE will collaborate with Engineering Operations Technicians and external vendors to drive innovation and reduce operational costs. The position is part of a diverse team that supports AWS's global infrastructure, ensuring high standards for safety and security.

• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings
• 3+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience
• Experience in construction or project management
• Experience in data center engineering or operations
• Experience leading technical teams through daily operations and maintenance evolutions
• Ability to work in an environment that involves walking, stooping, bending, and climbing to access equipment

• Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment operates at peak efficiency.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and daily corrective work.
• Respond to emergencies and provide technical support to Engineering Operations Technicians.
• Manage small-to-medium projects from conception to completion.
• Create and deliver on key milestones and document project results.
• Direct, train, and support Engineering Operations Technicians in troubleshooting and operations.
