The memory subsystem engineer role at Annapurna Labs focuses on the design, validation, and operation of next-generation machine learning silicon and servers. This position involves collaboration with hardware and software engineers to innovate and integrate advanced memory technologies. The team is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of machine learning platforms within AWS data centers. The engineer will work on complex technical challenges and contribute to the development of high-speed analog technologies.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields
• 5+ years of practical semiconductor design work including full-chip and subsystem integration experience
• Good knowledge of memory training, timing parameters and/or controller features
• Ability to create scripts (lua, bash, python, etc.) to accomplish functional day to day tasks
• Knowledge of DDR/HBM/UCIe phy and controller related protocols
• 3+ years in SOC/IO/Subsystems experience working closely with physical design teams

• Collaborate with architects, design teams, and software engineers on next generation ML chips
• Support ongoing debug and operations of previous ML chips within manufacturing and the data center
• Dive deep into IP integration, packaging, silicon bring up, characterization, and validation of memory subsystems
• Independently develop scripts needed to execute tasks and collaborate with software engineers as needs scale
• Participate in design discussions, team planning, code reviews, and metric reviews
• Mentor team members in areas of expertise and participate in the hiring process
