Fauna Robotics is looking for a Systems Development Engineer to enhance the systems infrastructure for robotic system design, validation, and production testing. The role involves collaborating closely with hardware test engineering, reliability, and manufacturing teams to create automated workflows that improve product quality and reduce testing overhead. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering and software development, focusing on building reliable and maintainable systems. • Experience with Linux/Unix
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust
• Experience with distributed systems at scale
• Experience with robotics systems

• Work with stakeholders to define requirements and identify common use cases.
• Design, deploy, and operate systems infrastructure and automation that support reliability testing and hardware validation.
• Serve as a systems-focused member of the Reliability team to improve robotic systems integration and validation.
• Develop organized, extensible, and maintainable infrastructure and code while providing technical support to junior developers.
• Build and improve provisioning and automation strategies for new products to enhance operational reliability.
• Refine best practices, documentation, metrics, monitoring, and alerting to support system uptime and continuous improvement.
