The Keya team is seeking a System Development Engineer to enhance the Customer Experience (CX) services for AWS User Experience Products and Platforms dedicated to US Government customers. This role involves building, scaling, and operating critical services while ensuring reliability and performance. The candidate will work within a collaborative, geographically distributed team that values technical depth and ownership. Responsibilities include automating processes and maintaining service health across dedicated cloud environments.

• Associate's degree or above, or CND (Certified Network Defender) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials)
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
• Experience with tools for automation including building, testing, releasing, or monitoring
• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Knowledge of at least one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl
• Experience coding, scripting, and automating in at least one language such as Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell
• Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems with a focus on design patterns, reliability, and scaling

• Review service dashboards and alarms to check the health of CX services across dedicated cloud partitions
• Participate in standup meetings with the distributed team to discuss project progress
• Develop automation solutions to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency
• Debug latency issues in APIs by tracing problems across service boundaries
• Collaborate with other teams during architecture reviews to ensure compatibility of services
• Write code for new features, integrations, and tools to enhance service functionality
• Update design documents based on feedback from senior engineers and prepare for code reviews
