The Staff Software Engineer for Enterprise Sales Systems Architecture at Google Cloud will be responsible for designing and scaling the core transaction engine of the global commerce platform. This role involves owning the end-to-end architecture from Opportunity to Order, ensuring transactional integrity and seamless integration between various systems. The engineer will work within the Area Tech Leads team, focusing on creating scalable and resilient solutions for enterprise-level transaction volumes. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership to guide architecture across the engineering organization.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go.
• 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience developing or architecting enterprise sales systems, contract management, or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) billing platforms.

• Own the technical architecture for the enterprise sales systems landscape.
• Design scalable, resilient, and high-performing solutions for enterprise-level transaction volumes.
• Architect complex CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) solutions to support downstream billing and revenue recognition.
• Design and optimize the integration of enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) solutions.
• Act as an enterprise architect, providing technical leadership across the engineering organization.
