The Health Sensing Engineering Manager will lead the health sensing technologies and roadmap for Google's wearable products. This role involves managing a team responsible for sensor technologies within consumer devices, including hardware and algorithm development. The focus is on health sensing systems such as PPG and ECG, ensuring high performance and innovative solutions. The position requires collaboration with various teams to meet data-processing and machine-learning requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience working in a consumer electronics technical environment, specifically within health sensing.
• 5 years of experience in technical leadership.
• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
• Deep domain expertise in optical/electrical bio-sensors such as PPG, ECG, electrodermal activity, and bio-impedance.

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of sensor hardware engineers, technologists, and scientists.
• Own the hardware lifecycle of health sensing systems from initial concept to high-volume manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Algorithm and Software teams to ensure sensor signal-to-noise ratio meets data-processing and machine-learning requirements.
• Establish technical direction for next-generation health sensor systems, ensuring rigorous design and testing methodologies.
