Job description
The Senior Staff Systems Integration Engineer will lead the technical strategy and execution of software releases for Rivian's Autonomy Driver+ platform. This role is part of the Autonomy Systems Integration team, focusing on ensuring the safety, stability, and readiness of software releases across various vehicle systems. The engineer will coordinate with multiple teams, manage release processes, and provide technical leadership. Additionally, the position may involve mentoring and managing team members to enhance their skills and contributions.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, build/release engineering, or technical program execution.
- Direct experience in autonomous driving, robotics, or advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
- Technical understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, CI/CD pipelines, and system integration testing strategies.
- Strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, and trade-off decision-making skills.
Responsibilities
- Define, document, and scale the full lifecycle software release strategy for autonomous vehicle software.
- Maintain clear visibility into release scope, branch health, test evidence, known issues, risks, dependencies, and deployment status.
- Lead technical triage and root-cause analysis for critical build failures and integration issues.
- Coordinate across autonomy development teams to enforce rigorous acceptance criteria for all release candidates.
- Mentor and develop release and systems integration engineers, providing technical guidance.
