Job description

As a Structural Engineering Professional at Jacobs, you will be a key member of the design team, responsible for performing structural analysis and design for various projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer License (PE)
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Structural engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC

Responsibilities

  • Perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering and analysis under general supervision.
  • Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques.
  • Exercise sound engineering judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control.
  • Take responsibility for managing workload and meeting commitments.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
  • Lead a team of Structural Engineers and Designers in project development.
  • Attend project meetings and actively help resolve concerns across disciplines.
