The Senior Civil Engineer (Water/Wastewater) role at Jacobs focuses on leading the planning, design, and delivery of water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects. • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Florida PE license preferred or the ability to obtain Florida licensure through comity.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience, with significant experience in water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary projects from planning and design through bidding and construction.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, design standards, permitting requirements, and industry practices related to water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Experience managing project scope, budgets, schedules, client expectations, and technical deliverables.
• Strong technical writing, presentation, communication, and client relationship skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop project team members.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Proficiency with Autodesk or Bentley design platforms.

• Lead the planning, design, and delivery of water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects.
• Serve as Project Manager or Technical Lead on projects involving water distribution and transmission systems, wastewater collection systems, and related infrastructure.
• Develop and oversee engineering reports, technical memoranda, design calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and construction documents.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and oversight to engineers, designers, CAD technicians, and other project team members.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, and quality in coordination with Project Managers and firm leadership.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, subconsultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Review survey data, geotechnical information, basemaps, existing utility records, and other project information to support sound design decisions.
• Lead civil design efforts, including utility layouts, grading, drainage, erosion and sediment control, site development, and constructability considerations.
• Conduct quality-control and quality-assurance reviews of technical work and project deliverables.
• Support permitting, bidding, and construction-phase services, including responding to requests for information and reviewing submittals.
