This role is part of Apple's Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization, specifically within the AI & Data Platforms (AiDP) team. The team focuses on building high-quality, scalable, and resilient distributed systems that power data exploration and analytics. The engineer will integrate open source software with Apple's internal ecosystem and develop new components and features. This position requires a strong understanding of cloud technologies and innovative data platforms to enhance the user experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 3 or more years of experience building enterprise-level data applications on distributed systems
• Programming experience in Python, Scala, or Java
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing cloud-based applications
• Experience in cloud data warehousing platforms like Snowflake
• Understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and problem solving

• Build solutions that integrate open source software with Apple's internal ecosystem
• Drive development of new components and features from concept to release
• Work closely with internal customers to understand their requirements and workflows
• Tune and debug codebase while supporting production applications
• Contribute to the success of various initiatives by learning new technologies
