GEICO is seeking a Senior Staff AI Engineer to join their AI organization, focusing on the development of a virtual agent platform that enhances productivity and service quality for over 20,000 contact center employees. The role involves collaborating with a team of AI and software engineers to design, develop, and deploy scalable GenAI workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building high-performance AI/ML platforms and a passion for Generative AI technologies. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or a related field
• 10+ years of professional software development experience with at least two general-purpose programming languages such as Java, C++, Python or C#
• 10+ years of experience architecting, designing and building multi-component AIML platforms utilizing open-source/cloud-agnostic components
• 6+ years’ experience managing end-to-end software development life cycle including version control, CICD pipelines, and production support
• 6+ years’ experience with cloud providers such as Azure and AWS
• 3+ years’ experience utilizing and/or finetuning LLMs such as GPT, Llama, Mistral, Claude to build conversational experiences

• Own design, architecture and development of multiple inter-connected high-performance platform components for GenAI workflows
• Make technical decisions regarding the selection and evaluation of software technologies, tools, and frameworks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and prioritize feature backlogs
• Drive the strategic plan and multi-year product roadmaps of software and platform products
• Lead teams of experienced engineers for platform implementation and troubleshoot complex software issues
• Mentor and guide engineers and junior tech leads by setting up engineering best practices and fostering career growth
