The Sensing Product Design team at Apple is seeking a talented mechanical engineer to develop innovative touch sensing systems that enhance user interaction with technology. The engineer will be responsible for the engineering analysis and documentation throughout the project lifecycle. • Hands-on experience in mechanical design, failure analysis, or product validation.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and drafting 2D technical drawings (GD&T).
• Strong track record of applying structured root-cause methodologies and experimental design (DOE) to resolve complex electromechanical issues.
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally (5%-10%) to support vendor bring-up and factory builds.
• Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis in MATLAB or JMP is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with sensor technology, analog/digital signals, flex circuits, IC packaging is preferred but not required.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
