The Ads Security organization at Amazon is looking for a talented Security Engineer to enhance the security of web applications and services within Amazon's Advertising businesses. This role focuses on developing innovative AI-powered threat hunting capabilities to proactively identify and mitigate security risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in threat hunting and experience with AI technologies. • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 3+ years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++, or similar object-oriented languages.
• 3+ years of experience in threat hunting, threat detection, incident response, or threat intelligence.
• 2+ years of experience using AI/ML technologies for threat hunting activities.
• Hands-on experience with the MITRE ATT&CK framework and adversary tradecraft.
• Proficiency in querying and analyzing large security datasets.
• Experience with cloud security architecture, preferably AWS.
• Certifications such as CCSP, CEH, or similar are preferred.
• Demonstrated success in applying generative AI to improve threat detection and response times.
• Experience building agentic AI workflows for security use cases.

• Own the design, build, maintenance, and expansion of AI-powered threat hunting workflows.
• Conduct hypothesis-driven threat hunts across large-scale attack surfaces.
• Develop agentic AI hunting workflows that autonomously generate hypotheses and investigate leads.
• Build evaluation frameworks to improve the accuracy and reliability of AI-driven threat hunting.
• Operationalize hunt findings and convert them into durable detections.
• Map hunting coverage to the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Partner with other teams to adapt models for specific hunting use cases.
• Define technical roadmaps for AI-powered threat hunting initiatives.
• Author and review technical design documents and hunt playbooks.
• Mentor engineers on threat hunting best practices and AI/ML usage.
• Establish operational excellence standards for AI hunting systems.
• Participate in on-call rotations for rapid response to emerging threats.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on hunt outcomes and strategic decisions.
• Contribute to operational planning and team development.
• Support team growth through code reviews and technical mentoring.
