Job description
Qualcomm is seeking an experienced Windows Power/Performance Developer to analyze and optimize software for Windows on Snapdragon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software optimizations across various layers, including the Windows Operating System and CPU architecture. This role involves collaborating with software architects and developers to define performance strategies for next-generation devices. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD in a related field.
- 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong familiarity with ARM architecture and understanding of CPU, Memory, and Bus architecture.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of key software benchmarks and applications to identify optimization opportunities.
- Implement software optimizations to meet performance criteria.
- Develop and enhance analysis tools and instrumentation to assist in identifying performance gaps.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners for performance analysis and optimizations.
- Identify risks associated with designs and approaches, and solve complex technical problems.
