Job description

The Analyst role in the Private Equity Capital Call (PECC) Structuring team at Goldman Sachs focuses on providing structured financing solutions within the Global Fund Finance business. The team works closely with sponsors and fund managers to deliver tailored subscription finance solutions. Analysts will evaluate credit and structural risks, conduct due diligence on fund sponsors, and lead structuring discussions. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in underwriting or structuring fund finance products or related credit roles
  • Advanced financial modeling and analysis skills
  • Deep understanding of fund structures and LP-backed underwriting frameworks
  • Bachelor's degree required; CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred
  • SIE, Series 7, Series 63, and Series 79 must be obtained within four months of joining

Responsibilities

  • Interface with and strengthen relationships with sponsors, fund managers, and internal coverage teams
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by delivering tailored subscription finance solutions
  • Evaluate the credit, structural, and economic risks of subscription lines using rigorous analytical judgment
  • Diligence fund sponsors, investment strategies, and LP bases across various asset classes
  • Lead structuring discussions and negotiate indicative term sheets and credit agreement provisions
  • Prepare high-quality credit approval materials and ensure accurate documentation of loan structures
  • Monitor covenant compliance, collateral performance, and borrowing base dynamics throughout the life of each facility
  • Partner closely with Credit Risk, Legal, and Operations to ensure adherence to internal credit policies
