As a Software Engineer at Qualcomm, you will be at the forefront of designing and developing embedded and cloud edge software for next-generation Wi-Fi protocols. You will collaborate with various engineering teams to create high-quality software solutions that enhance wireless system performance and reliability. The role involves working on Linux wireless drivers and optimizing system resource utilization. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• 3-6 years of hands-on experience in Networking, Wireless LAN, Linux kernel, or device driver development is preferred.
• Strong programming skills in C, data structures, and algorithms are required.
• Solid experience with Linux kernel architecture and Linux device driver development is preferred.

• Design, develop, unit test, and document next-generation Wi-Fi 7 and Wi-Fi 8 protocol features.
• Design, implement, and maintain Linux wireless drivers for Qualcomm Access Point SoCs.
• Analyze requirements and develop software solutions to optimize wireless system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Participate in software design, feature implementation, code reviews, debugging, integration, and regression testing activities.
• Collaborate closely with firmware, hardware, protocol, validation, and systems engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical design documents, implementation specifications, and feature documentation.
