Job description
The Senior Sourcing Engineer at Microsoft will drive end-to-end sourcing strategies across Global Tier1 Contract Manufacturing. This role requires deep expertise in contract manufacturing and ODM services, along with strong supply chain knowledge. The successful candidate will engage with senior executives and develop category strategies while leading product negotiations and supplier relationships. The focus is on delivering competitive cost, quality, and technology outcomes for Microsoft Devices hardware.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 3+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles.
- OR Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 4+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles.
- OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute differentiated sourcing strategies for assigned products.
- Own business performance for assigned product categories across the full lifecycle.
- Set clear priorities and resolve execution barriers with Tier 1 suppliers.
- Develop and maintain transparent and competitive cost models.
- Generate competitive supplier and market intelligence to inform sourcing decisions.
- Identify and mitigate supply continuity and operational risks.
- Lead change initiatives to improve sourcing efficiency and supplier performance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align category roadmaps and supplier selection.
