Amazon Finance Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer to build high-performance financial systems that support global growth. • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical field
• 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure, troubleshooting, systems administration, networking, DevOps or applications development experience
• 2+ years of building complex software systems experience
• Experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service, or experience in Linux/RHEL
• Experience with automation or working with scripting languages like Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell, or equivalent
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP
• In-depth knowledge of & experience deploying and operating Windows, Linux or other UNIX variants in a datacenter environment or AWS cloud
• Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
• Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
• Experience with AWS Services including EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS

• Support critical finance business functions for customers around the world while meeting availability goals
• Discover innovative ways to automate and scale infrastructure as the company expands globally
• Take part in the architecture, design, implementation and deployment of large-scale infrastructure and complex software systems
• Communicate ideas effectively to achieve the right outcomes for the team and customers
• Collaborate with others to increase the effectiveness of the overall team
• Mentor other engineers in the team and impact technical decisions in the broader organization
