The Senior Synthetic Data Engineer will join the NVIDIA DRIVE team to contribute to automotive innovation by designing and developing simulation environments for autonomous vehicles. This role focuses on generating synthetic data for training deep learning networks and enhancing sensor simulation workflows. The engineer will collaborate with technical leaders in autonomous driving, NuRec, and Cosmos to push forward autonomous vehicle technology. The position requires a strong background in computer graphics, computer vision, and software engineering.

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Math, Physics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in computer graphics, computer vision, autonomous driving, sensor simulation, or synthetic data generation.
• Strong Python and C++ skills with experience in production-quality systems on Linux.
• Solid mathematical foundation in linear algebra, geometry, and probability.
• Familiarity with synthetic data annotations, data formats, and evaluation workflows for perception model training.
• Experience with scalable engineering workflows including Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.

• Build, implement, and optimize tools to generate synthetic data for training deep learning DRIVE networks.
• Develop lidar and radar sensor simulation workflows that run against NuRec and Cosmos environments.
• Develop Cosmos world model for better world generation and controllable scenario generation.
• Collect perception, planning, and deep learning DRIVE network requirements and match them to current features.
• Develop dataset quality assessments and synthetic-real comparison procedures for autonomous driving.
• Set up, profile, and supervise large-scale NuRec, Cosmos, and sensor simulation pipelines.
• Debug cross-stack systems spanning sensors, reconstruction models, and simulation runtime.
