Job description
The Senior Software Autonomous Vehicle Control Integration Engineer will focus on developing and integrating advanced autonomous vehicle technologies. This role involves working with cutting-edge AI, deep learning, and vehicle control systems. The engineer will be responsible for creating algorithms for vehicle trajectory tracking and state estimation. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for collaborating with teams to achieve common goals.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of work experience in relevant fields
- Knowledge and hands-on application background in control theories, including at least three specific fields such as classical control, modern control, or MPC
- Understanding of state estimation techniques such as Luenberger observer and Kalman filter
- Ability to develop vehicle models and perform parameter identification and benchmarking
- Experience in architectural design and software development with C/C++ for real-time embedded control systems
- Understanding of test and verification methodologies for automotive software
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development related to vehicle dynamics and control and support other teams in areas such as ACC/LK and emergency maneuvers
- Design technologies needed to build the Autonomous Vehicle software stack and write new software modules from scratch
- Provide feedback for overall system design including system architecture and failure modes
- Build new performance offline and online benchmarks for vehicle control
- Define and build tools to tune vehicle dynamics control and manage calibration updates
- Drive integration efforts of control functionality across different platforms and support troubleshooting
- Develop and maintain vehicle test suites to detect control integration problems and ensure software quality
