Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President, Software Engineer to join their Services Group in New York. The role focuses on designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications and services for trading workflows. The team leverages innovation to enhance the Firm's capabilities and improve client services. This position allows for telecommuting up to two days per week.

• Requires a Bachelor’s in Educational Technology, Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, or a related field of study.
• Requires five years of experience in the position offered or five years as an Assistant Manager Technology, Technology Lead, Systems Project Manager, Technology Specialist, or related occupation in the technology field.
• Requires five years of experience with Java, Unix, MQ, Relational Databases, Unit testing, Shell Scripting, MS SQL Server, Spring Framework, Hibernate, XML, and Web Services (RESTful or SOAP).
• Requires four years of experience with Kafka, SQL, JDBC, data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design concepts, performance testing, Git, Gradle, Redis, Distributed messaging, Multi-threaded server-side development, and Apache Camel.

• Design and develop large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications.
• Develop software services to onboard trading and post-trading workflows for various asset classes including Equity and Options.
• Design and implement Order State Management related components for Trading platforms.
• Conduct scrums and handle deliverables.
