NVIDIA Research is looking for innovative networking researchers to join the NVResearch team as interns. This role focuses on developing high-performance networking and computing systems, requiring a blend of research excellence and a deep understanding of computer architecture and communication systems. Interns will have the opportunity to work on long-term research projects that influence NVIDIA's technology direction for the next 5-10 years. • Pursuing a PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or an equivalent program.
• Relevant industry or university research experience in hardware, software, or networking.
• Background in networking architectures, topologies, routing, and system design.
• Publications at top-tier conferences or research clearly on track toward them.
• Hands-on experience with simulation of networks and high-performance computing systems.
• Familiarity with inference and training systems for AI models and associated communication patterns.
• Excellent programming skills in a rapid prototyping environment such as Python, C++, and parallel programming.
• Experience building or using AI agents to accelerate research.

• Develop algorithms and design hardware and software to advance computing and networking technologies.
• Invent new techniques, technologies, methodologies, processes, and devices for new product development.
• Contribute to research that informs NVIDIA's technology direction for the next 5-10 years.
• Work on projects optimizing communication stacks for AI training and inference.
• Design network protocols and congestion control.
• Co-design AI systems across software and hardware.
• Develop circuits and microarchitecture for network controllers and switches.
• Architect networks built on optical switching and silicon photonics.
