Requirements
- 3+ years of mechanical design experience using a variety of fabrication processes
- 3+ years of consumer electronics design experience with complex products and multidisciplinary teams
- A solid understanding of engineering fundamentals including heat transfer and mechanics of materials
- Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
- Strong proficiency in Siemens NX for components, assemblies, and drawings
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding design solutions while managing multiple priorities on demanding schedules
- Build prototypes for design validation and drive failure analysis
- Work on-site at contract manufacturers in India to implement and integrate iPhones
- Engage with vendors to ensure successful parts and assemblies
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to layout and build custom PCBs and FPCs
