Citi is seeking a Lead AI/GenAI Engineer to join the AI Automation Forward Deployed Engineering team within Consumer Operations Technology. This senior hands-on role focuses on the design, development, and deployment of intelligent operations and automation platforms using generative AI solutions. The engineer will be responsible for building and operationalizing AI models while ensuring security, compliance, and reliability. • Deep understanding of LLM architectures and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Google Vertex AI and deploying open-source models.
• Proven experience implementing deterministic controls and guardrails in production AI systems.
• Expert-level Python skills, including experience with AI/ML libraries.
• Strong experience with containerization and cloud-native application delivery.

• Demonstrated ability to lead AI and automation programs from concept to production.
