Job description
The Applications Development Engineer will play a crucial role in advancing business priorities within the Broadband Plasma Division at KLA. This team focuses on developing and implementing product applications for existing and pre-release products in the semiconductor industry. The engineer will work closely with customers to support product development and ensure maximum value is delivered. Responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations and training, as well as documenting test results and best practices.
Requirements
- Candidate must have a BS/MS/PhD in Engineering, Physics, Material Science or related fields.
- Strong technical background in semiconductor processing or equipment industry is preferred.
- Candidate must possess excellent communication, organizational, analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Candidate must be self-driven and a strong team player.
- Master's Level Degree with 0 years related work experience or Bachelor's Level Degree with 2 years related work experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement product applications for existing and pre-release products.
- Focus on projects related to new product introduction such as characterization, alpha testing, beta testing, and pilot tools.
- Support the development of BBP systems at customer sites.
- Perform product diagnosis and problem resolution, interfacing with software and systems engineering.
- Conduct customer product demonstrations and provide technical training.
- Document all test results and lessons learned in various reports and training documents.
- Generate demo and test reports for internal and customer review.
- Travel to customer sites and headquarters for training on an annual basis.
