This role involves building mission-critical backend systems for Amazon's global advertising business, focusing on tax compliance, invoicing, and promotion engines. The TAP team is responsible for ensuring advertisers are taxed correctly and rewarded appropriately across various jurisdictions. You will tackle challenging backend problems and collaborate with experienced engineers to create scalable and maintainable distributed systems. • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience

• Design and develop scalable backend services for advertising tax calculation and regulatory compliance
• Build and maintain promotion engines that orchestrate advertiser credits and incentive programs
• Develop government e-invoicing integrations for compliance across worldwide marketplaces
• Deliver end-to-end features across the billing stack from design through implementation and operations
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to ensure solutions are scalable and maintainable
• Write high-quality, well-tested code and participate in design and code reviews
• Drive operational excellence through monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement of billing services
