The Senior Software Development Engineer will join the Nitro Firmware Team, focusing on the integration and updating of firmware for EC2 hardware. This role involves hands-on software development, including design reviews, implementation, and automated testing. Candidates will work closely with various engineering teams to ensure robust firmware deployment across the EC2 fleet.

• 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 6+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 4+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor or tech lead for an engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Develop and maintain firmware for EC2 hardware components
• Conduct software design reviews and code reviews
• Implement automated tests to ensure code quality at scale
• Collaborate with Principal engineers and hardware teams to enhance firmware mechanisms
• Measure and monitor firmware performance across all EC2 platforms
