Job description
The CPU SoC Verification Engineer will be part of a team focused on developing custom silicon solutions for Google's products. This role involves ensuring the functional integrity of CPU subsystems from RTL simulation to final silicon characterization. The engineer will work on verification environments and collaborate with ATE teams to debug high-speed patterns in production. This position is crucial for shaping the next generation of hardware experiences at Google.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 4 years of experience with ARM-based SoC verification, including cache coherency and high-speed bus protocols.
- Experience with post-silicon debug and diagnosing failures across Process, Voltage, and Temperature corners.
- Experience in RTL verification and Gate Level Simulation workflows.
Responsibilities
- Drive ARM SoC and sub-system level verification, simulation, and debug for CPU RTL and gate-level netlists.
- Lead post-silicon debug efforts to diagnose complex hardware failures and ensure pattern stability in production.
- Translate simulation-based functional sequences into ATE/SLT-ready formats, ensuring high-fidelity pattern conversion.
- Execute GLS and timing-annotated simulations using industry-standard EDA tools.
- Generate and convert ATE patterns utilizing virtual tester environments to ensure high-fidelity translation from simulation.
Benefits
- Employees at Google are often offered benefits like comprehensive health insurance, 401(k) matching, and flexible work arrangements, among other benefits.
