Job description
Arcadis is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their Resilience Water team in the Northeast, focusing on the water and wastewater industry. This leadership role involves providing technical expertise and strategic guidance for complex infrastructure projects. The preferred location is White Plains, NY, but candidates from across the Northeastern United States are welcome. The engineer will lead electrical design efforts and mentor engineering talent while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
- 15 years of progressive electrical engineering experience with a focus on municipal and industrial water/wastewater facilities.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Extensive experience designing electrical systems including power distribution, instrumentation and controls, and facility electrical infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and experience with AutoCAD MEP, Revit, and SKM Power Tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of electrical systems for municipal and industrial water/wastewater facilities.
- Serve as a technical leader and trusted client advisor for complex electrical engineering projects.
- Develop and review electrical engineering deliverables including power distribution systems and control schematics.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to support project scope, budget, and schedule objectives.
- Provide engineering support during construction through field investigations and site inspections.
- Mentor and develop engineering staff while supporting client development and strategic growth initiatives.
