Job description
Arcadis is seeking an Industrial Water Wastewater Process Engineer to join their Industrial Water Treatment and Optimization team. This role involves contributing to industrial water and wastewater design projects, applying various treatment processes and technologies. The engineer will work in a hybrid capacity, supporting projects across the United States and occasionally internationally. Candidates should have a strong background in consulting engineering with a focus on water and wastewater systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering
- 4+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in the industrial water/wastewater field
- Valid driver's license
- Master's degree or PhD in engineering or a related field is preferred
- EIT or Professional Engineer registration in one or more states is preferred
Responsibilities
- Function as the process engineer on industrial water/wastewater projects.
- Apply processes and technologies for various treatment methods including physical/chemical and biological treatments.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design teams to implement complex treatment solutions.
- Assist in developing and preparing process design drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Conduct field work including surveys, inspections, and treatability testing.
- Assist with system commissioning and start-up, including training plant staff.
- Prepare and make presentations to clients and for professional meetings.
- Manage projects to meet client and company expectations.
- Support business development including proposal preparation and client meetings.
