The Senior Software Engineer will join the OneNote Cloud Experiences team, focusing on building transformational AI-driven applications like Copilot Notebooks. This role emphasizes creating intelligent, dynamic notebooks that enhance user productivity and understanding. Candidates will contribute to scalable solutions across web and mobile platforms while leveraging best-in-class infrastructure.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python is preferred.
• 1+ years of experience with modern AI technologies, including Generative AI and large language models.
• 1+ years of experience leveraging AI Coding Agents to develop product features.
• Background in working with large-scale, distributed systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, AWS, or similar cloud computing platforms.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements for features.
• Drive the identification of dependencies and develop design documents for product areas.
• Lead by example and mentor others to produce quality results.
• Guide engineers on-call to monitor system features for degradation and approve restoration of services.
• Stay current in skills to improve product availability, reliability, and performance.
• Leverage the work of peers and industry solutions to avoid reinventing the wheel.
