The Senior Software Engineer role at Microsoft Edge for Business focuses on designing and delivering security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Copilot integrations for commercial customers. • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience designing, developing, testing, and debugging production software in C++ or equivalent experience.
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of software engineering experience or a Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of software engineering experience with substantial production development in C++ or equivalent experience.
• Strong C++ software engineering experience, including designing, implementing, testing, and debugging secure, reliable, and high-performance production software.
• Strong foundation in modern C++, including object-oriented design, STL, RAII, memory management, multithreading/concurrency, performance optimization, data structures, algorithms, and debugging.
• Experience with large-scale, cross-platform software systems, ideally involving browsers, operating systems, enterprise security, DLP, identity, or AI-powered product integrations.

• Design, implement, test, and ship secure, reliable, and performant features in the Microsoft Edge C++ codebase, focusing on enterprise security, Data Loss Prevention, and Copilot experiences.
• Drive technical architecture and execution for integrations between Microsoft Edge and Microsoft’s security, compliance, identity, and management ecosystem.
• Lead cross-organizational initiatives spanning browser components, native code, cloud services, and other Microsoft products while applying secure engineering principles.
• Partner with product managers, security experts, and engineers to translate commercial customer requirements into scalable solutions.
• Shape the team’s long-term technical strategy, mentor engineers through design and code reviews, and foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning.
