The Quantum Control Systems Modeling Internship at IBM Quantum is designed for motivated engineering students interested in developing large-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computers. • Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Experience with Rust, Git, Linux, and command-line environments.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work across disciplines.

• Contribute performance and monitoring improvements to an existing Rust-based distributed modeling simulator.
• Develop software and automation tools for simulator test execution, data collection, and analysis.
• Debug simulation execution in a prototype distributed control system test environment.
• Collaborate with compiler, runtime, and FPGA development teams.
